New Features in AVA
Search for a Person – Events
From the Events UDQ search screen, you can now identify records that involved a specific user and additionally filter results by their particular involvement. So the example below would return records where Tim Jubb was the investigator or the creator:
You can refine the results using the following involvement types:
- Created by
- Investigator
- Sign off 1
- Sign Off 2
- Triage
- Involved (All of the above)
Identify Action Verifier
From the Actions UDQ search screen, you can now filter records on the Action Verifier. So the example below will return records where the Action Verifier was either Tim Jubb or Lewis Magan.
Actions – Custom Field Reporting
AVA gives you the flexibility of adding custom fields to your forms to allowing you to record any information you need to. Until now you have not been able to report on these fields .
Now you are able to filter on custom fields, add them to charts and see the data in exports, making the analytics available to you much richer.
This solution is now available in Events (Iteration 20) and Actions, and will be rolled out to additional modules in future iterations.
Infrequent Users
Many organisations will have employees that do not need to use AVA frequently, but they will require access to create records occasionally. Administering such a large group of users can be time consuming.
We have now extended our Single Sign On (SSO) feature to make managing these infrequent users easy.
Any user that can successfully authenticate in AVA using your chosen SSO method will now automatically have an AVA account created for them. Previously this account would have to be created separately.
This user account will automatically be given the access level which you can now set in Administration > System Settings. So the example below will give SSO users by default the ‘All Permissions’ permission group at Group level in the hierarchy. You can create and use any permission group you wish here, as well as select any level in your hierarchy. You can also extend a users permissions as normal in Administration > Users.
To complete this feature we have also changed the behaviour of the ‘Write’ permission, making it so that it can be selected independently of ‘Read’. Previously ‘Read ‘ would automatically be selected when ‘Write’ was.
Now that ‘Write’ can be used in isolation, your infrequent users may just have this permission which means they can create records but cannot see any other records in your system.
Data Feeds
It is now possible to lookup external data with Airsweb when entering records, making your data capture process much more accurate and efficient.
Users can lookup the information, for example details of an Affected Person or vehicle, to then see a short (configurable) preview of related information, helping you to make the correct selection.
Once a selection is made, further information will populate within the entry form.
This can quickly be configured by Airsweb, giving plenty of flexibility to ensure the best solution for your needs.
If this is a feature your business would like to use, please contact you Account Manager to discuss this further.
AVA Mobile App
Photo Attachments
You can now add photo attachments to records in the mobile app. Using the new on screen control (as shown below), here you can add/view existing attachment, attach from your phone’s gallery, or take a new photo to attach.
Multi-Select Lists
You can now select multiple list items where applicable. Additionally, all multi-select lists now have a search filter, meaning long lists can be filtered to make finding what you need easier.
