As you may be aware, we have been experiencing some issues with our Weekly Digest Email.
Issues:
- With certain permissions in place, AVA users have the potential to receive a lot of different emails, one of the them being the Weekly Digest Email. This can be lead to Airsweb emails being perceived as spam, both by users and automated systems
- With the ability for users to use My Tasks within AVA itself, to see what records need action by them, the Weekly Digest Email was repeating much of this data unnecessarily
- As a static email, the Weekly Digest data can go out-of-date very quickly
- Due to sheer number of our users automatically subscribed to the Weekly Digest Email, we were seeing delays in the emails being packaged and sent, exasperating the out-of-date data problem
To address these issues, we have produced an in-AVA option so individual users can subscribe to the Weekly Digest themselves.
Users can find this under User Details > Subscriptions
Solution:
- All existing users have been unsubscribed from the Weekly Digest Email.
- If our users do indeed want to receive the Weekly Digest Email, they can subscribe from within AVA itself
- As an opt-in solution, our users can be re-assured they will receive the email in a timely and regular manner
